What better way to introduce the co-founders for Halo Training Solutions Ltd in more detail than a short interview with each in blog form!
Following on from our previous blog, we now have Flo Chadaway in the hot seat!
Introducing co-founder Flo
Flo is the joint founder of Halo alongside Hayley, so let’s find out a bit more….

What are your qualifications and job history?
I am a Chartered Accountant with both AAT and ACCA qualification holding a fellow membership together with a practicing certificate. I have also completed ILM5 Mentoring and Coaching qualification as I am passionate about supporting business owners and their teams to succeed.
I trained as an apprentice and qualified with a large accountancy practice in Shrewsbury. Following that I worked in two smaller firms before branching out and founding my own successful accountancy practice, Spring Accountancy Services. I have worked with hundreds of business owners and finance teams for over 18 years with accountancy and tax management and planning, starting up and mentoring and business strategy, training and building finance departments as they grow and everything in between.
As part of these job roles I have trained many business owners, their finance teams and staff to better understanding their finances.
Why are you passionate about training?
I have trained colleagues at all levels throughout the years as well as training clients for my accountancy practice on a regular basis.
Having understanding and clarity so that you have the holistic view to make the best and most informed decisions is something that I think is vital in growing successful businesses.
Whilst some of the most successful business leaders have no financial background or knowledge of the area they have ensured that they have learnt the basics to allow them to achieve that success.
What made you want to start this joint venture?
I have co-founded this business along side the amazing Hayley as we noticed the gap in the market for training in this area as well as a clear need for it. Throughout our various roles it is an issue that often crops up. Whether it’s within finance departments, businesses, ‘one-man bands’ or full leadership and management functions it is a common challenge and I am excited to help make a change in this area.
What makes you different as a trainer?
I like to break things down and make them simple, often finance can be a daunting topic and has a taboo that makes people switch off. When they engage and I can see that they are understanding and applying it to their own circumstances or roles it is fabulous to see. I believe I am great at quickly recognising when we need to change training tactics if attendees are needing a different approach.
What’s a rewarding experience you’ve had in work to date?
I love supporting businesses from the initial idea right through to achieving success. Success comes in different forms for everyone so this could be from making a first sale to achieving the growth and sale of the whole business. I love being the support and mentor to help guide individuals through.
If you could instantly become an expert in any skill, what skill would you choose?
I’d love to be an expert diver, performing a fabulous backflip in to the pool or sea would be impressive!
In business, it would be a sales master. The best sales performers come from truly being able to show prospect the value in the product or service…. which maybe more about the copy, so I might change my answer to sales copy mastery.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Be Kind, Always.

What’s your favourite way to spend a day off?
I love spending time with my family, I have two young boys and a new puppy so playing in the garden is great fun.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
Ooh! That is a tough one, I love hot beach holidays, a dip in the blue sea, great food and a cocktail whilst watching the boys jump in the pool for the hundredth time is an ideal holiday.
What’s something on your bucket list that you’re determined to accomplish?
I would love to do a sky dive, it is something I have always wanted to do. I really enjoy adrenaline activities but I think a sky dive is top of the list. Yikes.
So, there we have it, digging a bit deeper to get to know Flo.
Flo is passionate about training within businesses and especially how Halo Training Solutions can support you, your team and your business.
